There is only so much one can take before he or she decides to walk away from a failing relationship When things go wrong, it is very easy to point the finger at the other person. Lack of communication does not assist the matter either. If one cannot speak to the other especially over a long period of time, eventually distant feelings are experienced. Thereafter, assumptions sets in which quite actually could be facts of why the other is not being honest in the relationship. You can stop a relationship from failing, question is do you want to stop it? You have to determine whether or not the relationship is salvageable.
There comes a point where one will wonder, “What’s going on? We were inseparable, and now we hardly speak.” It is only natural that it would go down this way. Words will be exchanged and misunderstandings will grow creating an even further distance between the two. From here, either both may attempt to fix the situation to make things work, or walk away before more damage occurs. If it is agreed to fix the relationship, complete and open honesty from both must come forth. Then, the bonds of communication have a higher chance of being mended and forgiveness can be in order. However, if neither will speak, or don’t even try, then the efforts and energies put forth will be worthless.
Further assumptions will grow, and honesty may turn into the untruth. The downward spiral unravels, for it is only a matter of time before the end comes. If it is the end that one desires, be honest and say so instead of dragging the other in false hopes of a possible future especially if the love has died within. There is no point in staying with someone if the love that once existed is now extinct.  If one leaves, do it quickly. It is like taking a bandage off. It may be painful in the beginning, but the pain goes away faster than doing it slowly. Only when things end, can healing begin for both. It is not as simple as it sounds, but in order to move forward and begin something new, something must end. <3
